Abstract
The title of our research work is “SOCIO-CULTURAL ACTION OF THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH NEARBY THE YOUTH IN BURUNDI FROM 1935 TO 2018”.
The Seventh-Day Adventist Church's part, like other churches, is indispensable in the life of the society. Indeed, the main objective of our work is to highlight the social domains in which the Seventh-Day Adventist Church participates in order to face the brakes of progress in order to guarantee a sustainable development in Burundi.
Firstly, it was a question of reviewing the context of history, dissemination of the doctrine and extension of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Burundi.
After that, in a second step, it is necessary to analyse the part of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the education of the youth in Burundi, which is manifested through families, Adventist churches, camps, Radio "AGAKIZA" and schools.
Lastly, we tried to establish the actions of this Church in terms of health, primary prevention based on the consumption of plants instead of industrial and animal products.
Definitely, it was shown that from the legal installation of its white missionaries in Urundi until 2018, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Burundi has acted favourably in the accomplishment of its educational and health tasks following good relations with the State and the other Protestant churches, Catholic and Muslim through the AMR.
