La prise en charge en maison de retraite versus la retraite à domicile

Abstract

Our work is entitled: "Care in a retirement home versus retirement at home". This work was carried out with the aim of studying the lifestyles of retirees according to their living environment and to understand how they conceive them themselves in order to discover, on the basis of a comparison, a place that would allow them to live better their aging. The results obtained reveal that the retirement home allows for a collective way of life unlike the home. The retirement home is conceived as a place of confinement and expectation of death, which is not the case for the home. The home (to one of his children for example) is revealed by the study as a place that allows one to better live an aging but his own home steel the best place than others.
