    Diagnostic de l’effet lisière dans les paysages anthropisés du secteur Rwegura dans le Parc National de la Kibira, Burundi

    A study of the Kibira National Park was conducted to highlight the edge effects in some sites of the Rwegura sector, and to analyze the applied sample size and species diversity. Species accumulation curves were generated with EstimateS software version 7.5.2. For all sites, our results suggested that species diversity is higherin edge habitats compared to forest interior habitats. The accumulation curves showed a higher species diversity in the Mahoro 2 site. This diversity is potentially linked to perturbations which are clearly visible in situ. Nevertheless, the results of this study should be interpreted with caution due to a suboptimal sampling effort observed at all sites.
